Reverend Dr. Joanne Lindstrom joined First Baptist Church in 1994 and was ordained in 1996. Prior to her ministry at The First Baptist Church, Joanne's experiences include church planter and co-pastor of a small house church, community organizer and pre-school teacher. For over 20 years, Joanne has been an active member and leader of American Baptist Churches of Metro Chicago (ABCMC) serving in a variety of capacities. Since 2002, she has provided leadership for an international partnership between ABCMC and the Ghana Baptist Convention leading numerous trips to Ghana as well as teaching, preaching and leading workshops with the Ghana Baptist Convention.
 
Reverend Joanne is the Jean and Frank Mohr, Director of Experiential Education and Field Studies and an Associate Professor of Ministry at McCormick Theological Seminary. She teaches classes in the Practical Ministry field including Spirituality for Ministry, a required course, Reflection on Ministry, and a required workshop on Professional Boundaries in Ministry.
