Ministries we Support 



First Baptist is a church in mission.  Our members have done short term assignments in Ghana, Jamaica, Cuba and Limon, Costa Rica.
 
Our American Baptist Churches of Metro Chicago family entered into a partnership with the Ghana Baptist Convention in 2001.  Our partner in ministry had been the Ghana Baptist Vocational Center.  Our new partner in ministry is the Resurrection Baptist Church of Takoradi, Ghana.  Check our media page for pictures and more information.

The American Baptist Churches of Metro Chicago and the Ghana Baptist Convention signed a partnership agreement in 2004.  Each of our churches have been given an opportunity to choose a partner church.  Initially, First Baptist was in a relationship with the Ghana Baptist Vocational Training Center.  We are now working on a partnership with Resurrection Baptist Church of Takorida, Ghana.  Check out our media section for pictures and information on our visit May 19-28, 2010.
